Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day Coalition – Monday, August 6, 2018 – Nathan Phillips Square – Peace Garden 4:30 PM – Toronto’s Hiroshima Nagasaki Day Coalition invites us to support “2 Minutes to Midnight: Time to Ban the Bomb!” the 73rd commemoration of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A TorontoNAJC grant was given to the Toronto Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day Coalition in recognition of the the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).  Mrs. Setsuko Thurlow OC was chosen by ICAN to accept the award in Stockholm, Sweden. Japanese Canadian Heritage Marker Project in Southwestern, Ontario – Opening Ceremony – Friday, September 7, 2018-  Chatham Ontario – 11:30 am Pain Court (Dover Court) site, 18 Saint Bernadette Street, Chatham, Ontario.  The purpose of the Heritage Marker Project is to place signage at five Work Farm sites in Harwich, Dresden, Dover Centre, Valetta and Eatonville in Southwestern Ontario commemorating Japanese Canadian men assigned as farm laborers to area farms during World War II.   COMPLETE PROJECT DETAILS. 

Gala Reception to Commemorate 30th Anniversary of Redress  – Thursday, November 8, 2018   We have momentum!  We are over 35% of the way to capacity for the Gala Reception to be held in Toronto on November 8th, 2018.
