TorontoNAJC Supports the Japanese Social Service’s Visitation Program.

In response to its recent call for assistance to maintain its “Konichiwa” visitation program, the Greater Toronto Chapter of the NAJC is pleased to offer a grant to the JSS.  This program-specific donation is in addition to an annual grant that the chapter makes to the JSS to assist with its general operations in the GTA.    The visitation program is a valued service to the infirm and aged in the JC community who are confined to their homes and find themselves isolated and lonely from time to time.  For a full description of the program please go to the JSS website at  Donations can be made online by Paypal as well at

Japanese Canadian Baseball League of TorontoTorontoNAJC congratulates the Japanese Canadian Baseball League of Toronto on its 50th Anniversary.

Many JCs have played ball at Christie Pits and other fields in the GTA over the years – some 4000 players in all have participated in the League which has grown up to 12 teams.  Sport has been a important part of JC community life and the JC Baseball League is a key one which has successfully lasted through a generational transition.  We applaud the players and especially the organizers which have kept the league going.   To fund its celebration of this special anniversary scheduled for September 3rd at the JCCC,  the League is offering a variety of sponsorship package.  TorontoNAJC is pleased to take a sponsorship package.   We urge others to take out a sponsorship to help celebrate and support the league.   Contact Adrian Kusano at 416 574-2451 or
