Chapter President’s Report – March 2015

March 1, 2015 at 7:40 am

Dear Friends,

We’re in the third month of 2015 — and a brutal three months it’s been. Yes! I’m talking about the weather. Who hasn’t been? The Polar winds have been numbing, but we’re still moving forward at the Toronto chapter — indoors.

By the time you’re reading this report, we’ll have welcomed visitors to our booth at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s “Spring Festival” (March 7 to March 8); meanwhile, spring clean-up of the office and files still continues.

I want to offer you a short list of activities your chapter has or will be undertaking in the coming months:
– A new Youth Committee section on our website, www.torontonajc.ca
– A Book Launch of Terry Watada’s new poetry book, “Game of 100 Ghosts” is in its early planning stages
– A proposed Japanese Canadian speaker series
– Support of Japanese Social Services

I will expand upon these and other activities over the coming months.

Respectfully yours,

David Fujino, President
