Book Launch, May 11/14

On May 11, 2014, the Toronto launch of Mona Oikawa’s book, Cartographies of Violence, will take place at Another Story Book Shop, 315 Roncesvalles Avenue, from 4 to 6 pm. Free. Please join Professor Oikawa and the Toronto NAJC in celebrating a book which examines the 1940’s internment of Japanese Canadians from the previously unexamined perspective of eleven Japanese Canadian women and their daughters. Refreshments will be served.
The book shop is TTC accessible.
• Catch the Carlton 506 streetcar at Main St. station (or at Yonge and Carlton)
• Travel westbound to Howard Park and Roncesvalles
• Then get off and walk south on Roncesvalles to Grenadier Road
• The bookshop is across the street at 315 Roncesvalles Ave.
