President’s Report – September 2013

October 18, 2013 at 4:43 am

Since we live in a cold weather climate, I suppose it is a natural past-time for us to talk about the weather. Daylight is noticeable shorter now although, having led the Nikkei Heritage Tour to Hawai’i this summer, I will no longer complain about our cold weather right now.

At the Chapter Board meeting on Sunday, August 18th, I tendered my resignation from my executive position and as a member of the Board effective immediately. It has always been my intention to serve in a transitional capacity and now that solid programming is under way, it is time for someone new to serve as President. Yonsei Lindsay Tsuji has agreed to sit as interim president until November 16th when we hold our chapter AGM. My best wishes and thanks to Lindsay. My thanks to you and members of the Board for their dedication and support.
